Congress.gov

Congress.gov is the online database of United States Congress legislative information. Congress.gov is a joint project of the Library of Congress, the House, the Senate and the Government Publishing Office. Congress.gov was in beta in 2012, and beta testing ended in late 2013. Congress.gov officially launched on July 5, 2016, superseding THOMAS, the Library of Congresss original online database of congressional material, which had been launched in 1995. The website was created by Library of Congress employees using the Solr open-source search platform. In fiscal year 2015, the Library of Congress reported 36 million page views for Congress.gov.

                                               

Dictionary of Algorithms and Data Structures

The Dictionary of Algorithms and Data Structures is a dictionary style reference for many of the algorithms, algorithmic techniques, archetypal problems, and data structures found in the field of computer science. The dictionary is maintained by Paul E. Black and Vreda Pieterse, and is hosted by the Software and Systems Division, Information Technology Laboratory, a part of the National Institute of Standards and Technology. The new host is the FASTAR research group. It was created in September 1998.

                                               

Entrez

The Entrez Global Query Cross-Database Search System is a federated search engine, or web portal that allows users to search many discrete health sciences databases at the National Center for Biotechnology Information website. The NCBI is a part of the National Library of Medicine, which is itself a department of the National Institutes of Health, which in turn is a part of the United States Department of Health and Human Services. The name "Entrez" was chosen to reflect the spirit of welcoming the public to search the content available from the NLM. Entrez Global Query is an integrated search and retrieval system that provides access to all databases simultaneously with a single query string and user interface. Entrez can efficiently retrieve related sequences, structures, and references. The Entrez system can provide views of gene and protein sequences and chromosome maps. Some textbooks are also available online through the Entrez system.

                                               

Federal Register of Legislation

The Federal Register of Legislation, also known as the Legislation Register, is an Australian government web site run by the Office of Parliamentary Counsel since October 2012 that provides online copies of Commonwealth legislation and related documents. The website was redesigned and re-released early in 2011. As of 2016 ComLaw links redirect to the Federal Register of Legislation site.

                                               

MedlinePlus

MedlinePlus is an online information service produced by the United States National Library of Medicine. The service provides curated consumer health information in English and Spanish with select content in additional languages. The site brings together information from the National Library of Medicine, the National Institutes of Health, other U.S. government agencies, and health-related organizations. There is also a site optimized for display on mobile devices, in both English and Spanish. In 2015, about 400 million people from around the world used MedlinePlus. The service is funded by the NLM and is free to users. MedlinePlus provides encyclopedic information on health and drug issues, and provides a directory of medical services. MedlinePlus Connect links patients or providers in electronic health record EHR systems to related MedlinePlus information on conditions or medications. PubMed Health is another NLM site that offers consumer health information, in addition to information for health professionals.

                                               

National Inventory of Dams

The National Inventory of Dams is a congressionally authorized database documenting dams in the United States and its territories. It is maintained and published by the US Army Corps of Engineers. It contains information about each dams location, size, purpose, type, last inspection and regulatory facts.
